Oregon Day 6

Monday we loaded up and headed to the zoo!  It was a bit chilly and again we weren't really prepared, but Melis and I couldn't believe how crowded it was for such a cold June day!  Mom reminded us though that weather doesn't really keep anyone from doing what they want in Oregon!  Again, we weren't too prepared with jackets and such and Melis even had to run back to the van to get a beach towel for Anna!  The sun eventually came out and we were able to enjoy the brisk weather!

This is going to be Doug and I when we are old and tired:) .  At least they look happy and content though right?
Mikey took a tumble on one of Grandpas Sunday afternoon walks.  He hit the sidewalk pretty hard...got up and fell right over again.   I don't know if he was just tripping on his shoes or what but he was not a happy camper!  This is what his face looked like the following day.
Somehow Jaycee lost her shoe in the zebra terrain.  Her face in this picture cracks me up!  She wanted it back so bad!  They are her favorite shoes and she was very concerned.  After contacting someone at the zoo they told us that they wouldn't be able to get it out until after zoo hours and that we would need to call the follwowing day to see if they got it out.  The funny thing was is that we called the next morning and the guy that they sent us to questioned Melis like this...
G: "What color was the shoe"
M: "Hot pink"
G:"What brand was the shoe"
M: "Gap"
G: " Was it the right or left shoe?"
M: "It was the right"
G: "It seems that we may have the match, but bring your other one with you when you come so that we can verify!"
Haha!  Like there are going to be multiple lost hot pink gap shoes at the zoo!  I guess he was just going by the book!

Tanner loved to map out where we were going...he loves the follow maps.  I think it reminds him of treasure maps so he gets excited!

They are growing up way to fast!!

That night Dad took Melis and I on a little Daddy Daughter date.  We went to Burgerville to get there famous Strawberry milkshake and then went to drive by the temple.  It was closed down for cleaning and you can even see that the steeples had the gear on them to get them looking all shiny and new!  Next we convinced Dad for a little trip to Goodwill.  We found a couple diamonds in the rough and then headed home!  Thanks again Dad!
