Halloween Festivities!

We started our Halloween festivities on Friday night where we headed to Melis and Kyles ward Trunk or Treat. Tanner came down with some kind of a sickness that morning, throwing up and all sorts of yuckiness....so Doug stayed home with him that night. He was bummed but when we got home he told me that we missed all the fun and Doug had got him watching Karate Kid which he was pretty into.:) Here is my little pirate Mikey....he kept that hat on the entire night! I couldn't believe it! He loves hats and dressing up.

And my sweet Spiderman....who wants the mask, but won't wear it other than for like two seconds.:) (and yes, I did just cut off like three inches of my hair....and I am feeling a lot lighter these days!!)

I don't know what it was this year, but while we were at the ward party even though I knew Mikey didn't need to go to every car....there was something inside of me wanting him to hit up every trunk to get as much candy as possible!! I am just going to blame it on the pregnancy and not that I am like that normally....although, I really do love my chocolate!! Today we fit in carving pumpkins before we headed to Ben and Emily's for round two of trick or treating! Tanner got in there pretty good and cleaned out his pumpkin....

Jake was pretty disgusted and would barely touch his....and I didn't get a picture of Mikey because my hands were nasty, but he would barely touch it either and just kept saying "Mamma....Mama...!!!" and pointing at it for me to get all the gross stuff out!

Ben and Emily's neighborhood block off two streets so we didn't even have to worry about cars! It was great! We enjoyed a little fry bread dinner until it got dark and then off we went!

And this was a nice touch to the evening as well....I don't know how people walk so well on those stilts!

And of course we were lucky enough to have Grandma join us for the festivities!! She came into town for the two babies that are going to be born this week! We will keep you posted!

As we were leaving church today I noticed that Mikey's face was starting to look a bit on the rashy side. Nothing that I was too worried about, but he was starting to itch it a little bit on the way home in the car. After we got home and I was changing him into some comfy clothes I noticed a rash on the rest of his body. He started to seem rather irritated and I didn't know what to do. Should we take him to urgent care?....should I just give him some tylenol and put him down for his nap? I ended up running to Walgreens and getting some benadryl. I got home and gave him some and Doug put him down for his nap. I decided to lay down because I was exhausted and wasn't feel well that day anyways. Papa was over visiting and when I woke up he told me that Mikey had woke up from his nap and Doug wasn't feeling good about his rash and was worried that it may start affecting his breathing, so he took him straight to Urgent Care since it was a Sunday and our Pediatricians office was closed. Doug took this picture on their way in the car. He was so puffed up and red....sad...it didn't even look like our Mikey! The doctor said that if it didn't go down in a couple hours to take him to the ER, but he didn't seem too concerned. He said that he must have had an allergic reaction to something. We still don't know what that is, but I just hope it doesn't happen again.

*Car washed, shampooed, and detailed....check

(although the following day Jake threw up in my car...but at least most of it was in the carseat)

*All four carseats washed and back in place...check

(by the way, why have there not been carseats invented that come apart really easy so you can wash them, instead of having to spend an hour getting it apart and another hour putting it back together when it is clean)

*Laundry caught up and all put away including all baby clothes...check

(at least today I am caught up...if you ask me tomorrow, I will probably have three more loads already piled up again)

and now we just wait for this little ones arrival. I am dialated to a one, but nothing else....well, that was last Monday. I go in again on Monday and we will see if anything is progressing. Janice said that she would induce if I seem to be progressing on my own enough, but we will see if that happens. I am kind of interested to see when both Melis and I go all on our own if neither of us get induced. Doug is banking on Halloween, which would be fine with me because Mom gets here the day before, but I seriously feel like this baby is so comfortable in me and does not want to show his face any time soon. I also feel like he is going to be my biggest baby....large and in charge! Mikey was 8'5'' so we will see if he can beat that! They just keep getting bigger and bigger!

And by the way, you know you are huge and looking abnormal when you are doing your thing at Target just minding your own business and a younger looking couple walk by and the husband looks at you with a strange look. Then you can see him whispering to his wife/girlfriend and they walk back trying to look so casual so that she can get a look at how big I am! I am not stupid people!!! And they weren't really good at hiding it. I almost just said "I am due this week....so get over it people! Wait until you have four babies in 5 years and then tell me how you feel!"

Besides being a carnival attraction when Melis and I go anywhere together....which is constantly. I don't mind answering questions to people, but it is the same questions over and over and over. Usually whoever responds first gets stuck in the conversation with the complete stranger while the other one of us sneaks away and continues our shopping. The questions go like this...

"Okay...so I have to ask "Are you guys sisters?"

"Okay....so are you guys twins?"

"And you are both pregnant at the same time?"

"Was this planned?"

"And you have to be due around the same time....when are you due?"

and the list continues in that manner....but you get the idea!:)

It has been great being pregnant together....I will go see Janice one day and then she will go in the next. We have progressed just about exactly the same....pretty funny. Janice always tells us that we are moving right along with the same progress and now we just both wait and wait and wait and wait.

Tanner's Filling

Tanner got his first filling in one of his back left molars! He had a cavity back there and since they don't usually lose those molars until around 11 it was in need of a filling! The boy amazes me! He just gets up on the chair and didn't even flinch with all that was going on! He did awesome!!(and he picked the bubble gum smelling laughing gas too!)

Day 3...Disneyland

The next morning we headed to Disneyland to cash in on our free ticket vouchers! Weather.com told us it was supposed to be overcast in the morning but no chance of rain.....boy was weather.com wrong! It was sprinkling and raining off and on all day until about 5! But since everyone had a hood we were all good!! Poor Doug wasn't in the best spirits though...he had a horrible ear infection and after dealing with it the majority of the day he ended up taking Mikey and heading back to the beach house! So he was there....but sadly no pictures to prove it!!

Jaycee took a little while to get used to Disneyland! Even on the carousel she made Melis hold her....so Kyle took over her horse! He was thrilled!

Jedi training was cancelled which was really disappointing because Tanner is basically obsessed with Star Wars these days. But they did have all the characters taking pictures. Tanner wouldn't even stand with Luke Skywalker or any of the Jedis for that matter! Only the bad guys! I couldn't figure it out!! Is this foreshadowing anything in my future???

This will probably be our last trip to Disneyland for a while! This new baby needs to be at least 2 or 3 before I am thinking of heading back....we will see! I LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!

Newport Day 2

Our second day in Newport was a little overcast, but not rainy so we headed to the bike shop to rent out bikes for the day! We loved riding them on the boardwalk and onto the ferry to explore Balboa Island! It really was so fun and it actually felt really good to ride a bike even though I was 8 months prego. It moved my joints that seem to be aching a lot lately and it made me really excited to have less poundage on my body! (not that I wasn't already excited:))

We checked out all the fun little shops over on Balboa and got the yummy Balboa bars and then continued on our bike ride back across the ferry and onto what they call "The Wedge". There the kiddies played more in the sand and we just hung out and watched the skim boarders. Doug, Kyle, and Greg probably could have watched them all day!

Then we headed to get a bite to eat! We were all famished! Pizza and hamburgers....tasty!

Then back to the beach house for a relaxing evening where apparently their were games played after the kids went to bed, but after two attempts to wake me up from falling asleep with the boys....I missed out. But it did feel nice to sleep....I was all tuckered out from that bike ride apparently and the fact that Sarah and Melis and I stayed up until like 2am chatting!!:) Woops!

ONE LAST HOORAH!!!

A couple weeks ago we headed to California for one last family trip before this next little guy arrives! We got a beach house in Newport with the Worthens and the Nygrens and we had a blast! It was just walking distance from the ocean....perfect!! We got there Friday night and it was a good thing because Saturday was our only sunny day at the beach! We definitely soaked it up. We were there all day and if the rest of our trip wouldn't have been rainy and overcast we could have had some more awesome beach days!!

We beached it right by some rocks that the boys couldn't get enough of! They kept finding crabs and star fish and all sorts of treasures! Especially Jonah...he was in heaven!
