The BIG 3-0!!

Today is Doug's 30th birthday......

He has accomplished a lot in his 30 years....

Today is also our 6th wedding Anniversary....

And I think we have accomplished a lot in our 6 years too....

I think that is pretty successful! Don't you?:)

Our Final Three Days...

So Monday was Memorial Day and we spent it thrifting a bit more at a couple more stores(this is just one of our favorite hobbies....it is like bad addiction) and then having a big BBQ at the park. Of course we have no pictures from this day....but I will throw in this random ones of Jaycee wearing her swimmer over her clothes and Tanner getting attacked with kisses!

Tuesday was spent at the Ridge...a rec center in Littleton who lets anyone in on Tuesdays for $2 even if you aren't a member! We spent a good chunk of our day there....there was a big busful of kids there when we first got there, but they ended up leaving and there was pretty much no one there! It was awesome! (ps...I don't know where Jake is in most of these pictures, probably on the slide over and over and over...but he was there)

Wednesday was spent at Lilly Gulch with a group of the girls and their kids! We had to introduce Jaycee to the gym although she was bit more timid than the boys are at first, but she warmed up pretty quick and we had a good time. I try to steer Mikey away from the trampoline because he has an aneurism every time he as to wait his turn because they will only allow one child on at a time! Try explaining that to Mikey...or any 18 month old for that matter....besides Jaycee because she is more patient than Mikey!:) But he always makes his way over because that is their favorite! and the pit of course!

That evening we had to drive Melis and Jaycee to the airport. I don't think everyone quite understood that they were really leaving and not coming back. It was sad....it always is! But only two more weeks until Houston!

The next day as the boys and I were cleaning out the car we found two flower clips, one bow clip, and one of Jaycee's binky.....I think she just doesn't want us to forget her!:)

We officially have....

.....a basketball team! That is of course if Doug plays....which really is no question! That's right, we went in for our ultrasound this morning and sure enough this baby is ALL BOY! and there was no hiding it! I have thought all along that it was a boy, so once again the ultrasound just confirmed the feeling, but we are really excited! Of course I would have loved a girl too....but I really am not upset about having another boy! It will be great and I can't wait to add this little one to the mix! My allergies have finally let up the last two weeks and I am starting to feel back to myself again! Those really hit me hard this year in Denver....and I am really hoping that this is not the case every year with allergies now! Zyrtec, Sudafed, Benadryl....it all only gave me a little relief....and I am happy to say that I haven't had to take any of those pills for a while now which is nice.

Ultrasounds really are amazing and we had a great technician this morning which made it even better! Tanner came with us this time too, but when he found out it was a boy he was a little bummed. We asked him what was wrong and he said "I just wanted a girl!" but when I told him that he is going to have to teach this baby how to play basketball and soccer and wrestle he got all excited again! It was pretty cute. Doug told him that "Missa will take care of the girls and we will take care of the boys" and now he is telling everyone that. Jake just kept saying "I think this baby is a gurl or a boy" in his little twangy voice. And we kept telling him he was right! I forgot to ask what the final estimated due date was at the end because when they are measuring everything my dates were all over the board from October 31st to Nov. 2nd to Nov. 4th....so who knows. I am not to worried about it....this little guy will come when he wants to anyways! Here are some pics...but no scanner....so sorry about the blur and the flash in some....at least

Swimming Lessons

The boys have been in swimming lessons the last three weeks and have absolutely loved it! I enrolled them at the rec center right across the street from us thinking to myself "oh this will be perfect! We can just walk!" Ask me if we have walked....not once, but still sooo close and sooooo convenient, right? Their teachers name was Emily and she did a great job! They are definitely ready to move to the next level, but our summer travels are kind of a conflict with all of the sessions. So hopefully I can find something else around here that would work. I think they started as tunas and now they are alligators! So exciting!!!:)

Missa and Jaycee continued...

DAY FOUR, FIVE, and SIX: Friday was spent at the pool all morning. Here we learned that Mikey just likes to jump in all by himself....which doesn't surprise me and all four of them really are definite crazy water babies! Of course we have no pictures to document our time there, but we had a good time and we wore them all out....which is what I love about going to the pool. We came back for a late lunch and naps and then afterwards we headed to Targetfor our usual run. Kind of a relaxing day. Although at Target Tanner started saying that his stomach hurt so we didn't think anything of it except that he had to go to the bathroom. So Melis took him and it didn't get better. We checked out and on the way out he started crying and turned pretty pale with dark circles. We got in the car and headed home and sure

enough....he lost his cookies in a Target bag. We made it home and got everyone in bed and situated and just vegged. Tanner was up all night throwing up and not feeling good and he was pretty much out for the count all of Saturday too. I felt so bad for him. His little body was so weak...he would wake up just to throw up and then when he was done he would literally just fall over and go right back to sleep. Sad.:(

But instead of letting this dampen our millions of plans, we took turns getting much much much needed pedicures! It was sooo nice! It would have been great to go enjoy them together, but instead taking turns worked out just fine. The kids just played and painted and colored and danced and did what they do best when they are cooped up!

By late that afternoon we strapped the kids in and headed to Aspen Grove where we took turns making returns and shopping for just a bit while the kids watched a movie in the car. We had a babysitter lined up for that night to go to dinner with the office, but I wasn't feeling good about leaving Tanner so we cancelled and just stayed in. Sunday was a great day, Tanner was finally feeling better except it hadn't been 24 hours completely so Doug kept him and Mikey at home while we went to church. Doug and I were called to Nursery the second week we were in this ward and since Doug wasn't there and we were a little short on help, Melis stayed with me in there. We got home and started baking before we headed to dinner at Jimmy and Cari's. It was a gorgeous day and they all just played outside to their hearts content!

Of coure everyone wanted a little bit of daddy! He is so much fun!!:)

HIGHLIGHTS OF THESE DAYS: Jaycee calling me mommy and Doug daddy. It was really cute....and she does know how to say our names:). Tanner teaching Jake how to play soccer in Mammy and Papa's backyard. The dialogue was pretty funny. And how excited and anxious Jaycee and Mikey get for a protein shake or smoothie every morning!! And I am sure many more I can't think of at this late hour!:)

WHAT A FUN SUMMER DAY!

MISSA AND JAYCEE GIRL COME TO VISIT!

Melis and Jaycee came to visit for a whole week and we had such a blast! The boys LOVE LOVE LOVE having Jaycee around.....but of course they don't know it any other way. And of course they love having their other mother around at their beck and call....they LOVE their Missa! It had only been 5 minutes from getting home from picking them up at the airport and Tanner says to Melis, "Missa?.....you probably shouldn't ever leave!" (in the sweetest voice) Melt your little heart! Picking them up from the airport was pretty funny too. The anticipation was too

much for little Mikey....he wanted to see Jaycee the second we got to the airport! We had to drive around and around though because Melis came out the wrong door and had to figure out

how to get down to arrivals, so everytime we left arrivals without them in the car, Mikey had a heart attack! It was pretty funny. But we finally got them and it was a very cute reunion! When Jaycee got into the car she just kind of looked around for a minute and then Tanner and Jake

started talking to her and it was like it all came back! They all started to literally squeal with excitement and Jaycee just started laughing and pointing at the DVD player just like she always did. We did a ton while they were here.....multiple thrift stores, swimming at the pool, multiple park trips to different parks, ate and ate and ate, the ridge wreck center, lilly gulch gym, garage saling, pedicures, shopping, and taking care of sick babies....were just some of the things we did! We had so much fun and it is always sad to see them go.....but no worries because we go to

Houston in July!

Day One: Today was spent picking up from airport and then home for some lunch and naps for the babes. The boys made these cute paintings at Mammy's to put on their beds as a little welcome and had been saving them in a special spot for a couple weeks now!

Highlight of Day ONE: When the babies woke up, we headed to this thrift store where you can find childrens books grouped in these huge lots according to age level for way way way cheap! And a lot of them are barely used! Melis and I love kids books, so you better believe we were all over this! Wednesdays are senior citizen day so you get another 50% off if you are over 65 and don't worry....a worker found us a make shift grandma and she was so happy to help us save 50% more! Fun fun!!

Day Two: We spent the day at Civic Green Park. Splash pad....huge field....park....creek and pond(which were not open yet, but we had the splash pad so it didn't matter). It was a beautiful day and we could have spent the entire day outside. The kids played in the water, ate a picnic lunch, found ladybugs, and ran and ran!

After naptime we headed out the Mike and Deb's for a surprise birthday party for Drake and Kaden.

HIGHLIGHTS OF DAY TWO: Tanner teaching Jake to pee outside in the middle of the huge open field at the park....which Melissa completely got documented on camera. Maybe she will post pictures of that on her blog because she is private....(which I will be going back private soon as well....so leave your email) and the other highlight was driving home from Debbie's and Mikey throwing up EVERYWHERE....I am talking a ton and Melis catching half of it in a bag and more than the other half in her hands while we are driving 75 on the freeway! Poor guy and poor Melis....and that is when it began...the sickness!
