Paul and Lindsay's Wedding

Last weekend we flew to Salt Lake for my brother Paul's wedding!  We flew in Thursday night and they were sealed Friday afternoon at the Salt Lake Temple.  All of our family was able to be there(except for Sanette and the girls....we missed you!) and it was such a neat feeling to be in the Temple all together.  Except of course for Rebekah and Kelsey who were watching the kiddies....thanks again for watching those rascals!  Paul and Lindsay couldn't be more perfect for each other!  Lindsay looked beautiful and Paul looked handsome as well!:)  Their reception that evening was at Millenial Falls in Draper.  It was really fun too because that place has babysitting for the kids so I actually really enjoyed myself without worrying about my boys and what they were getting into!  We are so happy for Paul and Lindsay and love that we have another sister to add to the group!

We were also able to go to Music and the Spoken Word, catch up with the Sanders family in Layton, and attend the Draper Temple open house.  And even though it was rather cold ( I have decided that the cold is officially not my kind of weather), we had a great weekend!

Today's Happenings

MICHAEL:  Fell asleep during his tummy time!  What a little angel....I am guessing he will eventually sleep on his stomach like my other boys have.  No time soon though.  But they do seem to like that the best!

JAKE:  Discovered how to climb out of his bed!  He showed up downstairs this morning and was as happy as a lark!  He came to the bottom of the stairs and said "HI MOM!"  really loud with a huge grin on his face!  After his nap this afternoon he did the same thing...although this time I knew he was coming because I heard the big thud of him bailing out of his bed!:)  And tonight I only had to put him back in bed once after he was yelling "MOMMY, MOMMY" while lying down and trying to peek out of the little crack at the bottom of the door.  Maybe when Doug gets back into town we will work on him sleeping in a real bed.  But not this week....I don't want to deal with that by myself!

TANNER:  He apparently had an accident which I discovered when I walked upstairs to get the boys bath ready.  I found wet jeans and underwear and a wet bath mat.  So I walked downstairs and asked him if he peed his pants and he looked at Melissa and said...

"No, No, No(in his stuttering way)....I didn't....someone ELSE peed in my pants!"

I guess he couldn't get his pants down in time....at least it was in the bathroom by the toilet.  

Happily Ever After!

Tanner and Emma decided one night that they were going to get married and Emma was obviously the Princess and Tanner her Prince!  This is how the conversation went.....

Tanner:  "Emma, let's get married!"

Emma:  "Okay, I will be the princess and you be the prince!"

Tanner:  "Emma, do you want to dance?  It's okay, look at the camera!"

After a lot of convincing, Prince Tanner placed Princess Emma's glass slipper on her foot.  

Then the happy couple was off to enjoy a dinner as newlyweds!

Our Chunky Little Man!

When Mikey was born he weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz.  My biggest baby yet....and this is kind of a concern if they continue to get bigger!:)  When we left the hospital he weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz.  At his two week well check he weighed 9 lbs. 7 oz. !  He is definitely not having any problems with putting the weight on!  I guess that is what happens when they want to eat every TWO hours!  At least he is my fastest eater so far!  That helps a little bit when we are talking about spending my whole day on the couch!   I think most of it is going to his cheeks and that is fine with me because that just gives me more to kiss!  Such a sweet little guy!

Just Checkin'

While I was feeding Mikey, Jake and Tanner kept coming over with little bites of cake in their mouths.....

Mom: "Stop eating the cake...we still have to frost it and take it to Aunt Emily's!"

Tanner:  "Mom....we are just checking to see if it is cooled off!"

MY BOYS

I can't say that the transition from two boys that are 19 months apart, to adding another one only 20 more months apart.....has been an easy one.  Did that make sense?  Yes, it hasn't even been two weeks, but I am tired.  Doug has been awesome and has kept Tanner and Jake very occupied and has tried to make it as easy as possible....but I am still tired.  I feel like I will never leave my house again which sometimes seems okay because it takes me all day to do what I used to do in an hour every morning.  I know it will get easier as Mikey gets more on a schedule and at the same time I want to take advantage of these first moments with Michael as a newborn....now I am just rambling.  Does any of this make sense?

My mom was definitely a lifesaver!  Oh how I wish she lived closer!  She is one of the most amazing and patient people ever!  I always ask her how she raised 10 kids and she always tells me...."I did it the same way you will do these three.....you just do it!"  And it really is as simple as that!  Thanks for all your help mom, you are the best!

Mikey's Busy First Week!

Mikey has had a busy first week and a half of eating, sleeping, and bathing!  He is such a good baby and is very calm.  He usually cries when he wakes up with just one loud outburst and then he is ready to eat and hang out again until he falls asleep!  He is pretty easy-going....knock on wood....I hope he stays this way!!

Michael's Blessing Day

We decided to bless Michael rather quickly because all of our family was in town and Kyle and Melissa were also blessing Jaycee so it seemed to just work out.  We blessed him in Kyle and Melissa's home since he was just a couple of days old.  Doug did a great job and gave him such a special blessing.  Of course Mikey didn't make a peep!  And with each baby blessing I am reminded of how grateful I really am to have the Priesthood in our home.

Coming Home from the Hospital

We were able to bring Michael home on Saturday the 27th.  We were welcomed by his very excited big brothers!  And they were also very excited to see their mom!  Tanner didn't really like that I had to stay at the hospital or that he couldn't stay at the hospital with me....one of those, so it was a sweet reunion!

Those pacifiers always look sooooo huge when they are little!  It takes up half of Mikey's face!

He was even welcomed by his newest and cutest cousin Jaycee!  Their clothing even coordinated and that was totally not planned!:)

Jake was thrilled to have Mikey home!  He was so excited to hold him and give him kisses and more kisses and more kisses!
