"A spoonful of sugar.....

...helps the OATMEAL go down!!"(of course it is not medicine...they actually all love medicine and always want more!) Yes, that is right...my boys eat oatmeal for breakfast almost every morning(this is not forced, they love it:)) and the instant the brown sugar is pulled out to prepare the oatmeal, they immediately ask for a spoonful. It seriously feels like it is almost as important as their daily vitamins! This all started when my mom watched Tanner and Jake while Doug and I went on a trip a little more than two years ago. Apparently she would give Tanner a little spoonful of sugar in his mouth before his oatmeal and now its like death if they can't get that spoonful in their mouth before actually even consuming their breakfast!!! Of course Jake picked up this habit from Tanner and I am pretty sure Mikey has a close eye on what is going on during the oatmeal making routine. It is just a matter of time before he figures it all out!:) So thank you Mother for starting a breakfast tradition without actually ever knowing it! :) I definitely have three little sweet tooths!!!

Haylee eats oatmeal or cream of wheat every morning too. Of course the maple brown sugar kind. There is no other way to eat it in this household. It's so funny what catches on with little kids.
